Vintage Colour Palette

Vintage Colour Palette

For this image, we chose a colour palette typical of the 1940s and 50s, referencing the colours used by probably the first interior designer, Dorothy Draper, who was an accomplished columnist for Good Housekeeping  Magazine, and was seen as one of the greatest trendsetters of her time. She frequently used what was called the Mid-Century Modern palette, or American Baroque, with its apricots, deep reds, sea blues, grass greens and sugar pinks

The colour palette of our ceramic door knobs, coat hook and Mary Clarke hearts, reflects this influence, which means that it is perfect for today’s love of vintage colour in design.
